Spatial Multiplexing Using MIMO Architecture MIMO architecture can be used to multiplex multiple data streams over different spatial streams in the wireless channel, consequently increasing the data rate MIMO architecture requires as many TX and RX data- paths as number of transmit and receive spatial streams, hence for majority of applications number of spatial streams may be up to four.
