NEW MEMBERS We are keen to welcome all new members in a warm, friendly and informal atmosphere. If you are hesitant about joining and meeting new people, particularly if you have just moved to the area, remember our committee members will be more than willing to introduce you to everyone. The watchword of the WI is FRIENDSHIP. Some of the benefits of being a WI member - Meet new faces and make new friends - Find new interests - Listen to good speakers - Learn new skills with friends - Become involved in the community - Visit places of interest, theatre, etc. LEARNING AND EDUCATION Becoming a member of the WI will give you the opportunity to develop your talents and interests. The WI has its own residential college near Oxford. Helsby Hillside offers an annual Bursary for any one member who wishes to attend.
