5. 5 Collegiality: What is it good for? Difficult to measure but collegiality can provide: –Support –Inspiration –Collaboration –Fun

6. 6 Virtual collegiality? While beneficial, modern work practices often mean: Less face to face interaction Less opportunities for informal interaction Less opportunities for social interaction In short, less collegiality?

7. 7 What do we say to students? Engage! –Come to campus –Talk to staff –Collaborate with other students –Use the available resources –Get involved

8. 8 Translated to staff Engage! –Come to the office –Say hello and leave your door open –Talk and collaborate with other staff –Actively participate in seminars, workshops,... –Volunteer for something new –Support others –Trust others –Be social –Be positive
