Decentralized managing Structures According to the MED and ENPI CBC Med Operational Programmes, Valencia will host: a decentralized managing structure composed by the Antenna for the Western Mediterranean (covering the eligible territories of Italy, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Malta, Libya), financed by ENPI CBC Med; Aqaba (Jordan) will host the Antenna for the Eastern Mediterranean. a Liaison Office between the MED and ENPI CBC Med Programme financed by the ERDF and ENPI CBC Med.

4. Decentralized managing structures: functions of the Antenna The Antennas, according to the Programme ENPI CBC Med, will have the following tasks: 1.Providing support to the JMA and the JTS in the implementation of information, communication and promotion activities addressed to the Programme’s eligible actors; 2.Contributing to the organisation of the initiatives planned by the Programme’s central structures, in order to favour the establishment and development of partnerships among actors from the eligible territories, and the training of potential beneficiaries on procedures to be observed in drafting and implementing projects. 3.Assisting the JMA and the JTS in the evaluation and capitalisation of the Programme’s results, as well as in their restitution to local and national level.

5. The Liaison Office ensures the coordination between the two programmes (MED and ENPI CBC Med) in order to develop synergies and to maximise their respective contribution. It will cover the following tasks: 1. Guidance to potential partners about the convenience of each Programme on the basis of their project proposal features 2.Supporting the two Managing Authorities in the dissemination of information on the specific features of the two programmes, to steer their respective potential beneficiaries. 3. Contributing to the dissemination of results and good practices in relation to the specific thematic priorities of each programme. 4. Decentralized managing structures: Time table January 2008:Liaison Office set up (MED side) and follow up of ENPI CBC Med Programme until its managing structures to be set up in: September 2008:Liaison Office set up (ENPI CBC Med side) ENPI CBC Med Western Mediterranean Antenna set up. This time table fits with the MED-ENPI CBC Med schedule for their first call for proposals, taking into account that the first MED call for proposals will be launched in January-February 2008 and the first ENPI call is foreseen for late 2008.
