LRS Progress Report and Action Plan Update to the Profiling Working Group March 30, 2006

2 Progress Report Continuing activities for Oil/Gas and the full sample :  Load LS files and validate cuts  Improve and automate SAS and C/S LodeStar code for loading, validating and analyzing data  Delivered additional 18112 cuts to the CR mailboxes (to-date 2 CR’s have retrieved their data)  Notice will be sent next month indicating a last chance to retrieve interval data files posted to-date. Then files will be deleted from the CR mailboxes.  Completed preliminary Oil/Gas analysis  Review Analyze-IT software to be used for Oil/Gas analysis and Round 2 sample design.

3 Critical activities to complete before Round 2 sample selection begins:  Finalize Profile ID assignment process.  Re-evaluate residential assignment algorithm using LRS data.  Estimate/determine 2006 Profile ID assignment changes and incorporate into analysis for sample design and new model development  Many migrations were observed between business profile groups. Conduct further analysis targeting Business Load Factor assignment migration issues  Determine accuracy requirements. Progress Report continued

4 Next Steps Round 2 sample design and sample point selection. Complete Oil/Gas analysis. New Profile Model development.

5 Action Plan 03/30/06: Present comparison of current profile models with 11/01/04 – 10/31/05 load research data  PWG discussions on findings  Discuss methodology for establishing load research accuracy requirements. 04/26/06: Preparation for Round 2 sampling. Critical path issues are;  Finalize Profile ID assignment process.  Re-evaluate residential assignment algorithm using LRS data.  Estimate/determine 2006 Profile ID assignment changes and incorporate into analysis for sample design and new model development  Conduct further analysis targeting Business Load Factor assignment migration issues  Determine accuracy requirements. 05/30/06: Round 2 sample point analysis and design complete (pending resolution of issues identified during 03/30 and 04/26/06 meetings.)

6 Action Plan continued 07/31/06: Complete profile model building.  Establish impact analysis requirements such as test settlements  Discuss model transition to production issues.  Begin stakeholder process. 10/31/06: Stakeholder process of reviewing new models complete. 11/30/06: Round 2 sample point installation complete. 03/31/07: 150 day notification completed and new models implemented.
