Improve local integration policies and practice on the European, national, and local level  Organise a systematic exchange of experience on ‘what works’ between local authorities in Europe  Support the articulation between the European, national and the local level on ‘good’ experience in order to deliver a more effective integration policy for migrants (Combine a bottom-up with a top- down approach) Our understanding of ‘integration’  A two way process based on mutual rights and corresponding obligations of legal resident third country nationals and the host society, which provides for the full participation of immigrants (mutuality)

11. 02/06/201511 To conclude CLIP is an exciting new departure for a joint learning process of local authorities Results of CLIP work will be published and discussed in regional seminar throughout the EU Other cities are invited to join CLIP CLIP will intensify its cooperation with the European Parliament, European Commission and the Committee of the Regions in 2008 and beyond
