3 Part 1: Measurement (sitting up) Measure the length of the bear from the top of its head to the bottom of its feet. Measure the width at its widest point across the back of the bear. Measure the height from the front to the back at its thickest point. Calculate the volume by L x W x H = ___ cm3 Measure the mass (triple beam/digital scale) Calculate density by dividing mass by the volume

4 Part 2: Scientific Question & Prediction What effect does water have on a gummy bear? Prediction: What do you think will happen to a gummy bear when you put it in water over night?

Fill the cup with water ¼ of the way up. Then, put the cup back in the drawer. Make sure that day 1 in the data table is filled out.
