30 Voice Procedure FORBIDDEN PRACTICES  Violation of Radio Silence  Unofficial conversation  Transmitting on a directed net without permission  Transmitting the operator’s personal sign or name  Unauthorized use of plain language  Unauthorized use of plain language place of applicable prowords or operating signals  Compromise of call signs by plain language disclosures.  Profane, indecent or obscene language.  Identification of units or personnel participating in an operation

31 Voice Procedure AVOID  Use of excessive transmitting power.  Excessive time consumed in tuning, changing frequency or adjusting equipment.  Transmitting at speeds beyond the capability of the receiving operator.

33 Confirmation  Course will divide into groups  One group will head to the parking lot, pick a car and radio the license plate numbers of a chosen vehicle (write down make and model) and return to lecture room.  On receiving the call over the radio, a second group will locate the car and radio back the make and model of the vehicle. If the response is correct the second group will return to lecture room.  Repeat until all groups have completed both tasks once.  Do not touch vehicles.
