2 Niagara Falls drop is 165 feet. It lets down 150000 gallons of water a second. It is in Ontario, Toronto. Niagara Falls attracts millions of visitors every year. The Niagara Falls flow into Lake Erie. The Niagara Falls forms the international border between America and Canada.

3 Quebec is a great tourist destination on the east coast of Canada. It is also called Quebecoise, although it is in Canada there official language is French. It is the largest province in Canada. There is a region in Quebec called Nord-du-Quebec that is partially inhabited by aboriginal people. They have there own flag and there motto is I remember. Quebec is known for there skiing.

11 Children start at 4 or 5. In school they learn French as an an optional subject. School starts at 8:30 and ends at 4:00. On Friday school finishes at 1:45. As we have a GAA school tem they have a ice-hockey, basketball and swimming school team.

12 This is Mount Logan ↑. Mount Logan is the tallest mountain in Canada, it is 5,595m. There are hundreds of mountains in Canada, most of them in British Columbia, Alberta and Yukon. The most famous mountain range is the Canadian Rockies.

13 The most famous Canadian dish is Canadian ham in honey glaze. A lot of Canadians consider it there national dish. The dishes ingredients contains of ham, marmalade, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper. Canadian food is very diverse,they have dishes for almost every event. On thanksgiving they have Beet Soup for starters.

14 In Canada you do not give money as a present. The fork has to be held in the left and the knife in the right. When you are a guest you do not sit down until you are told. You do not eat before your hosts. Keep your elbows off the table. When you give a present the receiver opens it on the spot.

15 Canada has 10 per cent of the world’s forests, the forests cover a half of the landscape. Canada has the third biggest forestry in the world. 30 per cent is boreal (cold temperature)forestry and 10 per cent temperature( hot summers and cold winters)forestry.

16 This is a boreal forest.  Canadian forests are home to 140,000 differ ent species. 85,000 birds were killed because of logging( tree felling). 93 per cent of the forests are publicly owned.  Did you know?  You are more likely to encounter 3 bald eagles as a river in a forest in Ireland

17 Hudson Bay is named after Henry Hudson, a Dutch explorer who the northern waters. It is the second largest bay in the world after the bay of Bengal. The bay is 1,370km long and 1,050km in width. It is also called James Bay, it is very shallow with an average depth of 80 metres. The temperature changes

18 Prince Edward Island is in the Gulf of St. Lawrence on the east coast of Canada. The population of the island is 135,851. The area of the island is 660sq.km. The capital of the island is Charlottetown. Industry: Fishing, tourism, agriculture and tourism. Prince Edward island is the smallest of all the ten provinces. It is named after King George the second ‘s son. The island is known also for it’s ms cover 8 tenths of the island. There flag is a tree with three saplings. The tree is known as the Oak of England and the saplings represent the three provinces the Queen’s, the King’s and the prince. They have a provincial flower it is the Lady’s slipper. They also have a provincial bird it is the Blue Jay, they lay 3-7 blue eggs a year.
