4 What are the health problems in the early years?  Increasing number of under 5s in Bristol  Fortunately, few children are very ill  Problems are about unequal HEALTH  Dental health  Obesity  Special Educational Needs  Around 20,000 children in Bristol live in poverty  A & E admissions are rising www.bonee.org

6 What will BoNEE do?  Three topics: Feeding, eating and growing Teeth, dentists and mouth health Development, emotions and happiness  We have promised to work together over the next 5- 10 years to make sure Health services use the best evidence to promote good health We, as a group, notice and act on inequalities in child health and wellbeing Researchers focus on topics that matter to our local children, families and health services www.bonee.org
