9. Myth of Cygnus
Cygnus was not always a swan, this is the sad story of how he became a swan. Apollo’s son tried to drive his father’s chariot across the sky. His father warned him not to drive it close to the earth for it would scorch the earth. Zeus struck him down with his mighty lightning bolt it killed him instantly. His lifeless body fell into a river on earth. Cygnus tried to get the body out of the water, but failed repeatedly. Zeus was impressed with Cygnus wanting to get his friend’s body out of the river, so he turned him into a swan and that is the story of how Cygnus became a swan.

Zeus went down to earth and seduced Europa as a bull. Later, Europa had a son that was half bull and half human his name was Minos. He was locked in a maze and fed human flesh. He was killed by a warrior called Theseus. Now he is only a legend of the night sky.
