The dog must be safe in the water and all exercises must be performed without scratching or trying to climb onto the owner SoR shows that the dog can swim SoR shows that the dog can retrieve an object SoR shows that the dog can rescue the owner After SoR follows the official water trials programme Start Class Open Class Elite Class

3. SoR – Swim 50 metres Always to be done before the other 2 exercises in SoR Can be performed behind a boat or behind the owner – beside the owner/”heel!” – or any other way The exercise must show that the dog can swim a longer distance © Lis Døssing, May 2014

4. SoR – Retrieve of an object © Lis Døssing, May 2014 The owner throws an object at least 10 metres out into the water The dog retrieves the object, brings it back and deposits it on the shore The object is optional – but food is not allowed
