2 Daikin Chillers range Important features: Price, efficiency, reliability 2 main sections can be distinguished: Aircooled units and watercooled units. These ranges will be discussed more in detail, started from the aircooled range:

Mainly one of 2 refrigerants is used : R407C and R134a. The R407c range is predominantly used for comfort cooling, while the higher efficiency R134a range is ideal for process or higher spec applications. Process applications require a certain amount of ensured cooling, even during a breakdown of chiller part. Depending on the type, 1 chiller unit contains either a single, a dual circuits or a ternary refrigerant circuit, sharing a single evaporator. The amount of independent circuits, shown as different colors on the graph, indicate a reliability, (and a price difference), since every circuit contains at least one compressor, a condenser and an expansion valve (+ a filter, an oil seperator) . Furthermore, the difference between EWAD650-C18BJ Some ranges at smaller capacities (up to 260 kW) are available in heat pump versions (Y in the name), the rest are cooling only chillers. The control of the 3 units is common and the units operate as one single chiller. Ewwd-MB: single cirquit kw, dual cirquit from EWWD-DJ has change over from 165 kW-280kW and 2cirquit kW BJ series: High efficiency, all the way (2X flooded): Good efficiency, but expensive solution, since 2 flooded heat exchanger, and high refrigerant volume. Motivation for MB <--> DJ type: MB has plate heat exchanger condenser, while DJ has Shell and tube condenser: Thus MB allows faster and more precise control at fluctuating conditions, while DJ is more stable, needs less stringent water quality, but at somewhat higher cost (and slightly more refrigerant).
