1 Enlightenment Directions If you are an ARTISTS: 1.Read about your philosopher. 2.As a GROUP create a VISUAL that BEST represents the ideas of the philosopher. Be ABLE to justify your creation. If you are a ORATOR: 1.Read about the philosophers. 2.As a GROUP determine what concepts/ideas each philosopher was championing. Must be able to discuss. All groups MUST consider for each philosopher: 1.Did he think people can be trusted to govern? 2.Was he more democratic or more authoritarian?

2 Presentation Directions The ORATORS will analyze the visual and interpret the meaning. The ARTISTS will give REASONS for agreeing or disagreeing.
