8 Recap... The End of the World aka Judgement Day

9 Today’s Topic… HEAVEN

10 That is the only way to go to heaven.
What Is Heaven Like? Well first off, heaven is a place for the saved ONLY. There will be no God rejectors in heaven. If you wish to go to heaven then just accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and Lord. That is the only way to go to heaven.

11 What does the Bible say about Heaven?
Well the Bible gives us some clues but does not go into great detail about the future destination of the saved. Why is that so? Heaven will be so great and glorious that our minds cannot contain the blessings and riches of heaven. It hasn't even entered into our minds the good things God has prepared for His people in heaven.

12 However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" 1 Corinthians 2:9

13 There Are Some Things We Do Know…
HEAVEN IS A PLACE OF REWARDS Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:12) Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets. (Luke 6:23)

14 HEAVEN IS A PLACE WHERE GOD IS WORSHIPPED
Revelations 4:8-11 V8. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." V9. Whenever the living creatures give glory, honour and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, V10. the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: V11. "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

15 HEAVEN IS A PLACE WHERE GOD LIVES
Look down from heaven, your holy dwelling place, and bless your people Israel and the land you have given us as you promised on oath to our forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey. (Deuteronomy 26:15) Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. (Matthew 10:32-33)

16 HEAVEN IS A PLACE OF EXCEEDING JOY
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy (Jude 1:24) The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. (Matthew 13:44)

17 TREASURE MAY BE STORED IN HEAVEN
Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” (Mark 10:21) "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Matthew 6:19-20)

18 NAMES OF THE SAVED ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN
However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. (Luke 10:20)

19 THERE ARE NO TEARS OR SADNESS IN HEAVEN
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away (Revelations 21:4)

20 FAQ Will we recognize our loved ones in Heaven?
Of course we will know our loved ones. This is a divinely designed, essential part of our joy. Just as Jesus on Earth loved each person differently and specially—he did not love John as he loved Peter, because John was not Peter—so we are designed to love people specially. There is no reason why this special love should be removed, rather than added to, in eternity. Our family and special friends will always be our family and special friends.

21 What kind of bodies will we have in Heaven?
Gnostics (people who believe we are gods trapped in human bodies) say we will become pure spirits, angels, for they do not know the dogma of Creation. Others say we will have earthly bodies and harems or happy hunting grounds. The Bible says we will have transformed bodies, but real, physical bodies, as Christ had after his resurrection. His body could be touched and He could eat. Yet it could come and go as he pleased, with neither walls nor distance as an obstacle. It was the same body he had before he died, and it was recognized as such by his friends. Yet it was so different that at first they did not recognize him.

22 Will there be privacy in Heaven?
I think not. No one will want to hold anything back, for no one will be ashamed or afraid of being misunderstood or unloved. Privacy is like clothes and like laws: necessary only because we are fallen. When sin is gone, all hiding will be gone.
