MSA EUROPE 2005 AirElite 4h KO 2 - function and reaction: 2KO 2 + CO 2 + H 2 O >> [K 2 CO 3 *H 2 O] + 1.5 O 2 + E (Potassium Hyperoxide) (Potassium Carbonate) (Heat) KO 2 is a very reactive, extremely stable chemical, reacting with the humidity and the CO 2 of the exhalation air, releasing O 2 and heat (exothermic reaction) KO 2 oxidises reliably all foreign substances ... and the breathing air is very dry!

High performance (heavy work) increases the oxygen generation, low performance (light work) extends the service time! Sudden changes to high performance are compen- sated by the oxygen surplus!
