1. Brief Retelling of Main Elements Use dot points showing main points - don’t simply retell story

2. Type of Miracle Choose from: a) Healing Miracles: Jesus heals someone of an illness. Shows: love of God reaching out to people in their suffering Example: Jesus and the woman with the Haemorrhage (Lk 8:43-48)

2. Type of Miracle b) Nature Miracles: These relate to nature in general Shows: Jesus’ power over the forces of creation and God’s presence in nature Example: Jesus calms the storm (Lk 8:22- 25)

3. Structure. Setting: a description of the person and the illness, and/or the place where the miracle takes place Action: the cure is performed or the miracle takes place Acclamation: people attest to the cure or miracle and praise God or plot against Jesus.

4. Context of the Passage Immediate context: – placing the miracle within its surrounding passages in the Gospel. Example: The Cure of the Haemorrhaging Woman. (4:14 – 9:50) These miracles mark the transition from Jesus’ ministry in Galilee to his journey to Jerusalem.
