Credit unions tremendous amount of initiatives for young people Lack coordinated effort to push / highlight CU offerings NYSW attempt to redress this NYC Initiative Similar to activities around ICU Day Opportunity to promote the CU to a young audience Highlight why CU is relevant to them Attract new young members to the CU Reengage with current young members

6 Key Target Age Groups  Likely to be of most interest to younger age group (primary school)  Parents also key influencers for this age group  Can also tailor initiatives to reach 13-19 year old market

7 How to Get Involved Early April, pack sent to credit unions Containing posters Sample youth leaflets Order form for promotional goods Sample press releases for customising Additional details on leveraging campaign at local level etc. Put a plan together at local credit union / chapter level to promote the initiative

8 Local Level – Possible Activities for NYSW  Decorate offices – Posters, Balloons etc  Staff to dress up, Hire juggles / face painters  Press release to local media on NYSW  Approach local radio station about a joint promotion  Presentation on money management to your local schools  Invite students to credit union to visit CU find out more about the role in the community

9  Utilise your current database to reconnect with young members  Target parents with Teaching Children the Savings Habit Leaflet  Target students with CU in College – A Guide to Managing Your Money leaflet  Announce and begin to set up a Youth Committee in your CU  Target New Born Accounts Local Level – Possible Activities for NYSW
