1 EQUAL-PLAY PLAYGROUND Manatee High School Key Club

2 Who We Are: Manatee High School Key Club High school community service organization. Over 100 members that perform over 8,000 community service hours each year. Every year we organize/build one large-scale project to help better the community.

3 Addressing the Need Wheelchair accessible playground, especially at Riverwalk. Children with physical disabilities would be able to play on the playground equipment with non-physically disabled children and family members. Parents with physical disabilities would be able to play with their children on the playground.

4 Playground Location Adjacent to the current playground at the Riverwalk.

5 Features Ship Design Wheelchair Accessible “Equal-Play” Playground Movement 70 Square Feet of Deck Space Cohesive with Current Playground (Colors)

6 Costs for Us Our club is fundraising 100% of the money for the: Equipment Labor Rubber Surface Installation $35,000

7 Costs for the City Maintenance -after warranties expire 8 years for rubber surface. 12 years for actual playground. -very minimal $0 for the first 8 years

8 Conclusion Riverwalk needs a wheelchair accessible playground. MHS Key Club can make that happen.
