2 To begin with.. 54% of the Indians are less than 25 years old, making us the youngest country in the world Every year about 2 million students graduate from the universities The expat population of Indians alone exceeded 25 millions and their annual income is on an average 3 times that of the locals, wherever they are!

3 More on the cards.. The GDP Growth is expected to be 7% current fiscal The Foreign Exchange reserves exceed $ 100 billion from less than a billion $ in 1991and every month about $ 5 billion is being added The stockmarket index almost doubled in 2003 and investors are richer by Rs 6,500 billion in one year

4 And still more.. In 1990 India produced 125,000 motor cars. In 2003- 04 India is expected just to export as many cars India is inching towards becoming the biggest producer of two wheelers Every automobile produced in the world has at least one component made in India

5 It is not yet over.. Life expectancy has doubled since we attained independence The mobile population in India is set to reach 100 million by 2005, while costs of long distance connectivity came down by three fourths in the last 20 years The cost of housing finance came down from 18% to 7% in 12 years

6 The brain of the globe.. India and Indians are expected to be the brain and nerve centre of world thanks to it software, BPO and ITES success. There are going to be 10 software companies with billion dollars sales by 2006 Average ratio of Indians in global software firms have gone up from 10% to 18% in 3 years

7 Some more.. The third millennium heralds the birth of the Indian multinationals and multinational Indians The investments on roads from 2001-2005 will be 10 times that of the investments made from 1947 to 2000 A 60 tonne truck will be able to reach Delhi from Chennai in 48 hours flat in 2006

8 Still more.. India is among the top 5 producers in the world in foodgrains, pulses, fruits, poultry vegetable and milk The arrival of international tourists has increased by 50% in last 3 months The occupancy of hotels improved from 65% last December to about 85% this year

9 On a different level.. We are now on a different level, ready to take off Sky is the limit if only we dare to dream Let us DARE TO DREAM and let 2004 herald a new chapter in the lives of all INDIANS JAIHIND
