Odessa State Technological Center for Protection of Soil Fertility and Production Quality - ‘Oblderzhrodiuchist’ ‘Oblderzhrodiuchist’ is a state research and industrial organization which administers policy in the field of fertility conservation, regeneration, protection and state monitoring of the soils, quality improvement of agricultural product and input materials, as well as state control and supervision over adherence to the legislation on pesticides and agrochemicals in the plant-growing sector.

Odessa State Technological Center for Protection of Soil Fertility and Production Quality - ‘Oblderzhrodiuchist’ The principle guidelines for the activities of the Center are: - Agrochemical researches of soil fertility by the basic parameters. - Ecotoxicological researches of soils and plant-growing products related to their being contaminated with heavy metals, pesticide residue and radionuclides. - Soil diagnostics of crop mineral nutrition. - Evaluation of quality in plant-growing products, agricultural source material, fertilizers and plant protection means.

Odessa State Technological Center for Protection of Soil Fertility and Production Quality - ‘Oblderzhrodiuchist’ - Comparison of assessment quality for the soils in the fields and on the farms and identification of low-yield lands. - Determination of the food safety indices by means of assessment of all types of plant-growing product pollution with nitrates, toxic elements, pesticides and radionuclides; assessment of moisture, gluten and protein content in grain, saccharinity in sugar beet, comprehensive zootechnic analysis of feedstuff, agrochemical analyses of organic fertilizers, peat products and soil mixture, determination of agrochemicals meeting the requirements of the state and the intergovernmental standards and standard specifications

Laboratory of Experimental Research, Project-and-Technological Documentation and Information Support - studies the balance of nutrients in a humus, develops the projects on regeneration of soil fertility - conducts field researches into the influence of various norms of fertilizer application on crop growth and development - works out projects on gypsuming of soils, use of green manures, application of mineral fertilizers under dry conditions and trickle irrigation, application of fertilizers in young and fruit-bearing gardens and vineyards - investigates the dynamics of agrochemical condition of the soils in the Odessa province - issues certificates on the state of soil fertility

Getting acquainted with a chromatograph and the principle of its operation

Laboratory of Environmental Safety and Quality of Products The field of activity:  identification of nitrates, mycotoxins, humidity, impurities, protein and gluten, starch, acid and peroxide number, fat, and erucic acid  evaluation of the contents of humidity, protein, fat, ash, gluten, calcium, phosphorus, lactic, butyric and acetic acids in feedstuff  evaluation of the contents of heavy metals, radionuclides in soils and plant-growing product  identification of pesticide residue in soils, vegetable product and raw material

Determination of acid number

Laboratory for Provision of Analyses for Soil- and-Agrochemical Research The field of activity:  evaluation of the content of humus, nitrogen, mobile phosphorus and potassium in soils  identification of the absorbed bases and saline composition of an aqueous extract  evaluation of granulometric composition, ‘active’ alkalinity, carbonic acid in carbonates  evaluation of water satisfiability for watering  evaluation of quality of mineral and organic fertilizers as well as chemical ameliorants

Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making named after V. Ye. Tairov, NAAS of Ukraine Laboratory of Agroclimatology Research and practical tasks:  Research into patterns for spatio-temporal variability of agroclimate resources in the North Black Sea Region as applied to wine-growing  Assessment of unfavorable agrometeorological conditions causing the stress state of vine in the vegetation and the winter dormancy periods  Microclimate zoning of a territory according to the conditions of frost and light frost danger as well as the ones of heat supply for various varieties of vine

Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making named after V. Ye. Tairov, NAAS of Ukraine  Betterment of methods for mapping agroclimate resources with regard to a microclimate  Optimization of the location for vine plantations with environmental conditions in Ukraine taken account of  Development and compilation of an ‘Agroclimate resources’ unit for the Cadastre of Vineyards in Ukraine

Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making named after V. Ye. Tairov, NAAS of Ukraine A branch of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology and Agrometeorological Forecasting of the Hydrometeorological Institute of Odessa State Environmental University is created and functions on the basis of the laboratory. It is at the laboratory that undergraduate and graduate students of the University undergo their pre-graduation practice and work on the diploma projects / theses, the topics for which are within the subject area of the Department of Vine Ecology.

Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making named after V. Ye. Tairov, NAAS of Ukraine Laboratory of Plant Protection Main Areas of Research: Monitoring phytosanitary condition of vine plantations; Research into -peculiarities of vine disease development (blackspot, infectious drying, Eutypa dieback, Esca (Apoplexy), powdery mildew (Oidium), grey rot etc.), -vermin propagation (Lobesia botrana (the European grapevine moth), acaridans, soil vermin etc.), -development of a system of measures to exert control of them;

Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making named after V. Ye. Tairov, NAAS of Ukraine Development of technologies for protection of vine planting stock; Assessment of the efficiency of means for vine protection (fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, biologicals, hormonal agents etc.) from diseases and vermin; Research into the biological effectiveness of plant protection means.
