1 Process: Pathway to Common Terms Goal: Standardize on 5-6 common definitions to be put forth as FEAPO wide agreed upon terms and definitions. Proposed Definition Set: Enterprise Architecture Business Architecture Data Architecture Application Architecture Technical Architecture Solution Architecture 1

2 Process: Pathway to Common Terms Approach / Process: Submit idea to FEAPO FMOs for feedback and approval. If approved, proceed as follows for each definition: 1.Create one subgroup under Taxonomy Working Group for each definition where One or more submitted FMO glossaries define the term 2.Each submitting FMO participates in the subgroup For example, if IIBA, DAMA and Business Architecture Guild each submitted a definition for Business Architecture, one member from each FMO works on a team of 3 to create a common definition 3.Each subgroup submits its consolidated definition to the Taxonomy WG 4.Taxonomy WG votes to put forth the definition or a modification of it to FEAPO FMOs 2

3 Process: Pathway to Common Terms Approach / Process: This process is repeated for each definition per above FEAPO FMOs vote to approve or disapprove of the definition set Proposal is to vote the set in up or down Note, the term Enterprise Architecture may have to be voted on separately Once agreed to, publish a notification, PR, white paper, etc. on concurrence of terms Each FMO member agrees to use the terms as defined Timeline: TBD 3
