2 I. State of play - IVET Training not enough responsive Decreasing number of apprentices Job-shortages and abundance Training structure complicated Lessons of practical training less Role of Regional Development and Training Boards Role of Regionally Integrated VET Centres

3 Priorities of reform in 2011 Strengthening a work-place oriented system Making dual training general for apprentices Raising efficiency of training Reshaping of training cycles, content and exam-system Cost efficient operation Guidance and follow-up

4 Education in vocational schools Objective: to introduce a 3-years schooling period for mainly manual occupations Practical training from the 9th grade Strengthening dual training via Chambers Ensuring possibility of matricula: +2 years

5 IVET in vocational secondary schools At the end of 12th grade matricula from vocational subjects to ease contracting Routes after matricula: Obtaining vocational qualification acc. to Register within shorter period Obtaining other skilled work level qualification during one year Higher education Labour market

6 Expectations Circle of players from economy will be larger, mainly in organising and functioning IVET practical training part Output of IVET becomes more responsive Rate of employability gets improved.

7 II. Innovation of Adult education system State of play: Not enough transparent, difficult to assess Albeit an accreditation system is in place, quality remains uncertain at certain trainings Not duly demand driven Efficiency and efficacy are to be improved

8 Some innovation elements To simplify the system of accreditation Process control (consumer protection!) To impose penalties and supply sanctions In register to define The minimal number of contact lessons for examination

9 Expectations Quality level of „service” will raise, IVET and CVET will reach each other Poor quality level institutions will cease Less administrative work Transparency will improve State grants, supports better facilitated.
