2. What is a Reflexive Verb?
A verb that ends in “SE”
Ex: ducharse lavarse
cepillarse levantarse
A verb that describes an action that a person does to or for himself or herself
Ex: I bathe (myself)……………….bañarse
She dresses (herself)………..vestirse
A verb that refers the action of that verb back to the person; therefore two pronouns are used
Ex: Yo me baño…………I bathe (myself)
Tú te lavas los dientes……You brush your teeth
**The non-reflexive form of the verb is used for an action that is being
done to someone else….
Ex. Yo lavo el carro. – I wash the car. **

3. How do you conjugate Reflexive Verbs?
To learn to conjugate reflexive verbs, you need to learn a different set of pronouns called "reflexive pronouns." These pronouns are positioned before the verb, while the ending "se" is dropped and the verb is conjugated normally.
Reflexive Pronouns:
Me – myself Nos- ourselves
Te- yourself Os- yourselves
Se- himself Se- themselves
herself yourselves
yourself

4. How do you conjugate Reflexive Verbs?
Step 1: Remove the “se” at the end of the verb
Step 2: Replace the “se” with one of the pronouns up front depending on who you are talking about
Step 3: Conjugate the verb like you would normally using regular
–AR, -ER, -IR endings
Lavarse- to wash
Me lavo Nos lavamos
Te lavas Os laváis
Se lava Se lavan
