3 Interfaith Housing Alliance was founded in 1990 and was designated a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1991. Bishop Francis Murphy IHA Co-Founder and Cumberland Native Interfaith Housing Alliance was founded in 1990 and was designated a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1991.

5 Significant Accomplishments More than 1,100 housing units created (15% in Allegany County) Over $150 million invested in the communities we serve through public/private partnerships Have received more than 30 awards for excellence in affordable housing

6 IHA is a certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) in Maryland and Pennsylvania and annually meets MANO’s and PANO’s Standards of Excellence

7 IHA’s Mission: - provide affordable housing o opportunities and supportive s services - improve the quality of life for t those we serve - strengthen the economic stability o of our shared community

8 Target Population Low to moderate income seniors, families and individuals who earn 60% or less than the Area Median Income In Allegany County – the AMI for a family of 4 is $52,300

IHA recently partnered with Heartly House in Frederick, MD and constructed the Family Crisis Resource Center for the City of Cumberland in 1996
