3 Values & Charity J. E Benson Public School Teaching leadership skills & Change To Make A Difference Program To reinforce the character count and leadership led by our vision and values. Additionally, fulfilled a basic need in the community

4 Terminal Values & Charity Equality – amongst each other, the organizations and children Freedom- allowed for everyone to do their own work & use their own ideas Sense of Accomplishment – self fulfillment when working with the kids

5 Instrumental Values & Charity Honesty – in our work, time lines and each other Responsibility – to give back to the community & get our work done Ambition – found something that challenged us

6 Team Vision As a team, we will thrive to accomplish our goals. We look to better not only ourselves, but the community as a whole. As a team we want to utilize all team member’s strengths in order to best achieve success. We will have integrity in our work and be honest not only amongst ourselves, but in our work as well. We want to be authentically engaged in the community and give them our utmost attention and interest through our involvement.

14 OB Principles for Success Authentic Engagement – honest & loyal to our team and work Tough Love – authoritative figure in the classroom & constructive criticism within the group Grounded Vision – had a set vision and goals and followed through with them Responsible Freedom – freely expressed our ideas amongst group members & disciplined in our work ethics.

15 OB Principles for Success Ultimately… We have grown to be well rounded in the Competing Values Framework We over came conflict in order to achieve success Communicated effectively in order to reach our team leadership goals and vision

16 Key Lessons Learned Community – raising awareness in the community is important & that our community is in need of great leaders Learning – that people are willing to make a difference If educated Teamwork – communication is key and how to do it in an effective manner & also to respect others values Leadership- we all have it in us we just have to find what works for us

18 Conclusion Our goals and vision for the project were exceed and ultimately our values were always present within our work We feel that we did make a difference and ultimately impacted them in multiple ways We learned a lot our about personal and group leadership from each other as well as the children Overall it was a very valuable experience
