Through the reveal of his Uncle's will, Charlie learns of a forgotten part of his family who reside in Missouri and while traveling to meet them, encounters outlaws, crooked relatives, and skeletons, most of which were hidden deep in the family closet. Book 4: The Crimson River - 1872 Colorado Territory To 2010 (Released 11/1/2012). The year is 2010. The place is Denver, Colorado. Charlie Smith and Philip LeFaye live their adventures through the lives of their descendents and the words Charlie had written in a journal over 100 years before. Charlie’s old journal leads the modern day rag-tag team on a treasure hunt, weaving them through a mysterious maze of danger and suspense. The reader searches with them, holding their breath with every step. Donna Westover is a Colorado Christian author, cancer survivor, and motivational speaker. She was first published as a teenager in her high school magazine at Fort Knox High School. Her talents included writing poetry and songs in her earlier years, but in 2005, God gave her a gift in the form of a fictional character by the name of Charlie Smith. She penned her first novel, White As Snow, a Christmas Story in which Charlie is the main character. From there, she's written a series of four books entitled Mysterious Ways which portray some of her own life's challenges through Charlie.
