2. Aim of session To introduce Key Stage 2 teachers to Espresso and to update them with the latest site developments.

4. Espresso Update Cost of the product 1 st April 2006 £4 per pupil Could be subsidised by CLEO and be as little as £2.00 per pupil if 50% of the schools across Cumbria and Lancashire re-subscribe.

5. There is no commitment for schools to have to do this. CLEO will be contacting schools later this year to see if you would like to subscribe for the following year. (April 2006/2007) You can use e-learning credits if you wish to re-subscribe for a further year.

6. Independent Television News (ITN) has made a strategic investment in Espresso. ITN manages the world’s largest video collection, comprising over 680,000 hours of footage. It has exclusive selling rights for the ITN, Reuters, British Pathe, Granada, Channel 4 and Fox News video libraries. ITN and Espresso join forces!

17. Using the Resources All resources on the Espresso service can be selected and pasted into other applications e.g video could be used in multimedia presentations. Images and photographs could be used to create your own worksheets

20. 6. The Search Engine The search engine locates resources across the service. You can refine your search to only return certain types of resource such as video.

21. 7. The Route Planner The route planner can be used as an effective classroom management tool by giving teachers the opportunity to create differentiated lesson plans which children can open and work from. The Route Planner
