2 Local Community Plan Progress Completed actions – 81 (69%) On schedule – 29 (25%) Behind schedule – 7 (6%) Full review of LCP resulted in a number of actions being revised/removed or added Revised plan on Dundee Partnership Website

3 Capacity Building/Involvement Community involvement is changing from the more traditional forms of engagement like community councils, residents groups etc. Good attendance at engagement events Local people getting involved in different types of activity Communities of interest, particularly around welfare reform and wellbeing. Delivering key actions in community plan.

6 Key Developments Excellent progress with Lochee Physical Regeneration Programme Progress being made with the new Menzieshill School/Community campus Progress being made in establishing a Community Hub in Central Lochee Physical Improvement Plan being consulted on in Whorterbank Play developments at South Rd Park, Whorterbank and plans for a Menzieshill Play Trail New Lochee Integrated Engagement Team working well Strong early years network Parent reference group being developed Successful school holiday family provision Continuation of Family Splash in Lochee Swimming Centre Large numbers attending all Commuity Gala Events Increasing demand for community growing/gardening Unveiling of Lochee Weaver Statue

7 Key Developments Continued Community café provision in Lochee Parish Church, St. Mary’s RC Church and Menzieshill Community Centre

8 Main Issues/Challenges Welfare Reform – impact on poverty/wellbeing, sanctions and pressure on Job Shops Increased demand for use of public access telephones to benefits agencies etc Substance Misuse – tackling stigma both in the community and within organisations Maintaining involvement of local people, increasing community capacity/resillience Adapting practice to encourage different ways to get involved Keeping community information up-to-date
