Notes on Configuration The aim of this particular piece of configuration is to prevent AVG from performing the daily scan of your computer for viruses happening immediately on computer start up without disabling the scan. 1.To show the settings for the Scheduled Scan, open the AVG User Interface 2.On the menu bar click on Tools and then Advanced Settings
Notes on Configuration 3.Click on the + beside Schedules and select Scheduled Scan.
Notes on Configuration 4.The problem is that if your computer is not on at 12:00 it misses the scan. As the Advanced Schedule Option is ticked, It then does it on Computer Start up… and your computer becomes busy just when you want to use it.
Notes on Configuration 5.Change the settings so that the scan runs “Action based” “OnComputer Start Up” but with a 30 minutes delay. 6.Don’t forget to untick the Advanced Option to “Run on computer start up if task has been missed” Configuration Completed
