3 3 Other State Level Bodies in the CCCCO Ecosystem California Community Colleges – Chancellor’s Office | 112 Colleges | 72 Districts | 2.6 Million Students Board of Governors (BoG): formalizes policies; hires the Chancellor; bi-monthly public mtgs Consultation Council: advises Chancellor on policies before they are advanced to the BoG; meets prior to BoG California Community College League: represents the college CEOs (CEO board) and local trustees (Trustee board); does advocacy on behalf of CEOs and Trustee positions Bodies where the VC of Academic Affairs serves as liaison: Academic Senate of California Community Colleges Chief Instructional Officer (CIO) leadership Active Task forces: Open Education Resources; BA Task Force; SB 1440 Transfer Model Curriculum A variety of union-related bodies who engage depending on the issue: CCA/CTA, CCC/CTE, CCE/CFT; CSEA; CCCI; FACCC Bodies active in the workforce space active: EDPAC/WEDPAC: advisory body for the VC Ton-Quinlivan’s division CCCAOE: association of CTE deans and faculty focused on conferences, some policy advocacy; their Leadership Program is funded by VC Ton-Quinlivan’s division VERATAC: committee of CTE field practitioners funded by VC Ton-Quinlivan’s division to solicit field feedback on data- related issues Centers of Excellence for Labor Market Research: technical assistance providers funded by Vice Aoe-all listserv: Each college identifies who gets the emails sent to this Occupational Educator listserv. Senders must be employees of the CCCCO to use this listserv.
