The police has made a risk assessment which tells that the risk that the violence will continue is regarded as high. So is also the risk of lethal violence. In the family there also are three daughters in age of 5 – 13 years old. The police also sends a police report to the Social Service Office and a report about concern for the children are made. The women support calls Sara to a meeting the same day. She tells about severe violence and that she is very afraid of Michael. Michael will be released during the day, and she is very afraid. She comes to the Social Service Office with her children, and they are helped to a women’s shelter. Because of the seriousness of the violence, an child investigation is initiated by the Social Secretary at the receiving unit. The children are offered therapy due to their experiences.
