3 Quick Impact Project: NWA, SWA and Central Corridor

4 Implementing partners: – Kundiwam Dam – Dhana Irrigation Scheme Output FATA Secretariat and FWO Est. $ 31 million for both projects Feasibility Survey and design underway for both schemes Both schemes will cover a command area (Agriculture) of 6,500 acres and provide drinking water for 20,000 people and livelihood water for 5,200 people. 12 Implementing partners: Phase I – Wana Grid Station Upgrade – 11KV and 33KV damaged lines rehabilitation – 132KV Power Transmission Line (Gomal Zam to Wana Grid Station) Outcome FATA Secretariat and WAPDA – $5.2 million/Design work and finalization of PC-1 in progress – $8.8 million/Equipment being purchased and installed – $ 11.7 million/ 15 percent complete Supply of improved electricity to approximately 18,000 people. Infrastructure: Power Generation and Transmission The 11KV and 33KV lines rehabilitation will benefit Spinkai Raghzai, Mandana, Sheikh Nikka Ziarat, Noi Kuch, Murghiband, Raghzai and Kotkai; and Shinwam, Lower Chagmalai, Upper Chagmalai, and Siplotoi villages respectively.

15 Other Support: North and South Waziristan Health ($970,000/1,145 activities) Through 1,145 activities, improved health services delivery by training healthcare professionals and providing supplies and equipment to Agency Headquarters Hospitals and Basic Health Units both in NWA and SWA Held 2,414 child health days to treat illnesses of mother and vaccinate children
