17. The Western Carolina Chapter of ASSE has monthly meetings in Hickory. Lunch Meetings are held on the 2 nd Friday each month at the Golden Corral on L-R Blvd.

19. The Western Carolina Chapter of ASSE hosts the North Carolina Department of Labor Safety Awards in Hickory.

20. The Safety awards are presented during an Awards Dinner held at the Holiday Inn. The Awards Dinner will be held on June 3, 2008.
