VOCABULARY Customary units- the units of length most often used in the united states. Ex: inch, foot Capacity- is the measure of how much a container can hold. Convert- change from one unit to another. To convert from a larger unit to a smaller multiply.

CONVERSION 1 cup (c) =8 fluid ounces (oz) 1 pint (pt)= 2 cups = 16 ounces 1 quart (qt) = 2 pints = 32 floz 1 gallon (gal)=4 quarts =128 oz
