VOCABULARY  Customary units- the units of length most often used in the united states. Ex: inch, foot  Capacity- is the measure of how much a container can hold.  Convert- change from one unit to another. To convert from a larger unit to a smaller multiply.

CONVERSION  1 cup (c) =8 fluid ounces (oz)  1 pint (pt)= 2 cups = 16 ounces  1 quart (qt) = 2 pints = 32 floz  1 gallon (gal)=4 quarts =128 oz
