3 THE MIDDLE AGES During this era, from the 5th until the 15th centuries, the great part of the music was anonymous. We only Know about some body who compile part of the music of This era like a Alfonso the tenth who had called the wise.

4 SPANISH RENAISSANCE MUSIC In Spain our musicians stood out playing above all two instruments such as the vihuela and the organ. The most important musicians with the organ were Antonio de Cabezón y Francisco Salinas. While in the rest the Europe the main chordophone was the Lute, in Spain was the Vihuela, and the most important musicians were Luis de Narváez, Luis de Milán y Alonso Mudarra.

6 THE BAROQUE During this era our musicians continued being the organist. For example Francisco Correa de Arauxo who played this instrument with a great recognition. Mateo Romero was another prestigious musicians who played the Spanish guitar

7 THE CLASSICISM(XVIIIth) Antonio Francisco Javier José Soler Ramos, usually known as “Padre” was a Spanish composer whose works span the late Baroque and early Classical music eras. He is best known for his keyboard sonatas, an important contribution to the harpsichord, fortepiano and organ repertoire.

8 THE ROMANTICISM (XIXth) Pablo Sarasate was a Spanish violinist and composer of the Romantic period. Of Sarasate's talents as performer and composer, It said that he "left criticism gasping miles behind him". Sarasate's own compositions are mainly show-pieces designed to demonstrate his exemplary technique.

9 THE NATIONALISM(XIX-XXTH) Enrique Granados (1867 – 1916) was a Spanish pianist and composer. His music is in a uniquely Spanish style and, as such, is representative of musical nationalism. Isaac Albéniz (1860 – 1909) was a Spanish pianist and composer best known for his piano works based on folk music idioms. Many of his pieces such as Asturias, Granada, Sevilla, Cádiz are amongst the most important pieces for classical guitar.

10 Turina was another great spanish pianist, conductor, composition teacher, music critic, writer.... Manuel de Falla (1876 – 1946) was a Spanish composer and pianist. With Isaac Albéniz and Enrique Granados he is one of Spain's most important musicians of the first half of the 20th century. His image was on Spain's 1970 100-pesetas banknote

11 CENTURY XX-XXI Alicia de Larrocha de la Calle (1923-2009) was a Spanish pianist. Recognized as the most internationally renowned and one of the best pianists of the XX century, especially in works of Mozart and Spanish repertoire. Collect, among others, the Prince of Asturias Award 1994. His extensive discography includes, among others, works by Enrique Granados and father Soler

12 FRANCISCO TÁRREGA Francisco de Asís Tárrega y Eixea (21 November 1852 – 15 December 1909) was a Spanish composer and classical guitarist of the Romantic period.

13 LUCERO TENA Lucero Tena was born in Mexico 1938. She is a dancer and a castanets musician. Lucero Tena is a very important person in the music spanish

14 PACO DE LUCÍA Paco de Lucía (1947 – 2014), was a Spanish virtuoso flamenco guitarist, composer and producer. A leading proponent of the New Flamenco style, he helped legitimize flamenco among the establishment in Spain, and was one of the first flamenco guitarists to have successfully crossed over into other genres of music such as classical and jazz

15 NOWADAYS Pablo Lopez was born in 1984 is a player and a composer. He plays the piano, he started with 17 ages. Among his composition is “ El amor se olvido de nosotros” “No me arrepiento”

16 PABLO ALBORÁN Pablo Alborán, (born 31 May 1989) is a Spanish musician, singer, and songwriter. From a very young age, he was interested in learning to play various musical instruments such as piano, classical guitar, flamenco guitar, and acoustic guitar and attended singing lessons. In 2011, he was nominated for three Latin Grammy Awards. His studio albums are “Pablo Alborán”, “Tanto” and “Terral”.
