1 Peter 2:4-5 4 As you come to Him, the living Stone rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house [1] to bea holy priesthood, [2] offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

to be a holy priesthood,

John 3:2-8 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." 3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." 4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" 5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

2 Corinthians 6:16 - 7:1 6 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people." 17 Therefore "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you." 18 "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty." 1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

to be a holy priesthood,

Romans 5:8-11 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

The Blood of Jesus Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,

to be a holy priesthood,

2 Corinthians 5:14-16 14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:1-2 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed [metamorphosed] by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Summary: NT Priesthood 1.The NT priesthood means to be anointed by the Holy Spirit and to be set apart from the world in Christ unto God. 2.The NT priesthood means to deeply experience and possess the knowledge of the atoning power of the blood of Christ. 3.The NT priesthood means to acknowledge that we have life in God by life of another, namely, the death of Christ. 4.The NT priesthood means that all [1] our hearing & understanding, [2] our deeds and conduct, and [3] our walk & purposes ► are aspired, aligned & aimed towards Christ. 5.The NT priesthood means that we wait on the Lord until we are empowered, equipped, energised and ‘ ekballow ’ed to minister before God.
