KEY DOCUMENTS: Updated Behaviour and Rewards Booklets Guidelines for Behaviour Management in lessons and Referrals

GUIDANCE- KEY POINTS Make Behaviour Policy and systems clear to all staff particularly new staff The documents give examples of misdemeanours and sanctions but these are for guidance and every case has to be considered individually and in context, using our professional judgement The processes are stepped and are successful if at every stage interventions have taken place early on The referral process is for emergencies only and should happen only for serious incidents or incidents where a stepped process of interventions has already taken place. Guidance for new staff on 15th Sept. For discussion at CDT meetings today.

CURRENT STATUS? GOOD PRACTICE ? Rewards and Sanctions are being given! For the vast majority they are effective in helping to manage behaviour. IMPROVEMENTS? We need to have greater consistency across the school We need an accurate record of rewards and sanctions

WHAT IS IT? It is a web-based system A tool that allows us to record and log incidents and rewards (slips) online, so reducing the need for paper-based reports. When incidents are logged automatic emails will alert relevant staff so there is quick identification of areas of concern. The system is tailored to our individual school's needs.

ADVANTAGES Quick and simple to use Can access it from home Easy to get analysis Visual- can share with students Scope for development
