3 United States Army Combined Arms Center Troubleshooting as a DMG As a Digital Master Gunner for C2, the need to know how to identify potential triggers, causes, effects and solutions for various issues related to the TBC Co-Host and how to resolve them is important. C2 DMGs need to identify issues that CANNOT be resolved and know where to go to get answers and assistance in a timely manner with little impact on the mission.

4 United States Army Combined Arms Center Operator Troubleshooting Procedures Determine equipment with suspected fault Identify condition Follow corrective action

5 United States Army Combined Arms Center Power Light is not Lit Check cable connections to AC adapter. Check power source and circuit breakers. Verify battery status. Check air temperature. Disconnect and reconnect AC adapter.

6 United States Army Combined Arms Center Battery Status Indicator Flashing Green/Amber Battery too hot to charge. Save data and power off computer. Disconnect AC adapter. Allow battery and computer to cool down.

7 United States Army Combined Arms Center Battery Status Indicator Amber Battery power low or depleted. Connect AC adapter. Charge the battery.

8 United States Army Combined Arms Center Computer Does Not Power On Hold the power button on for less than four seconds. Check that the unit is plugged in to a working outlet.

9 United States Army Combined Arms Center Computer Failure During Startup Ensure that the computer is plugged into a working electrical outlet. Verify the power light is on. If not, remove media from drives and power up the computer. Increase the monitor’s brightness and contrast controls of dim. Check cable connections.

10 United States Army Combined Arms Center Computer Failure During Operation Press and hold any key. If system beeps, keyboard is operating properly. Check cables for loose/faulty connections. Wake computer. Shut down system and then press power button again to restart system.

11 United States Army Combined Arms Center No Network Communications Check ethernet cable. Ensure it is properly connected to the RJ-45 connector on the computer. Verify the connection of the ethernet cable on the opposite end of the cable. Reboot and attempt network connection. Check Gateway’s IP Address configuration, including IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.

12 United States Army Combined Arms Center Computer Locks Up and Will Not Turn Off Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and select Task Manager. If no change is noticed select the Application Tab for status of not responding. If none is found, close. Press and hold the power button for at least four seconds until computer turns off. Reboot the computer and follow the instructions for accepting changes.

13 United States Army Combined Arms Center Computer Does Not Respond to Keyboard or Mouse Check connection. Press power button to resume from standby mode. Restart the computer.

14 United States Army Combined Arms Center Poor Performance is Experienced Check computer airflow. Restart. Transfer data. Contact higher level of maintenance.
