1 Larkspur-Corte Madera School District Arts Demonstration Project A Sustainable Model Arts Program Creating a culture that supports the arts Building Teacher Capacity Forming collaborative relationships with arts partners Nurturing community support Securing stable funding sources

2 Larkspur-Corte Madera School District Model Arts Programs 2012-2015 and Beyond Leadership: Site Based Arts Teams consisting of the principal and teacher leaders will drive the arts integration work at each site. Arts Integration goals will be included in the Single Plan for Student Achievement. Infrastructure: Discrete Arts Instruction will continue to exist at each site, largely supported by SPARK. Professional Development: Teacher leaders (Instructional Coaches) will continue to support other teachers in developing art integrated curriculum. Community Support: Arts exhibitions and installations will continue to be displayed in local community venues.

3 Larkspur-Corte Madera School District Model Arts Programs 2012-2015 2012-13 (Year 4) Arts Demonstration Project Yr. 4 supports two schools (NC and Hall) Funding for arts teachers is supported by SPARK MCF Grant supports teacher collaboration and planning, coaching model, VAPA Coordination, materials and supplies, conferences, professional development, Arts Integration training and support provided by Technical Assistance from MCF 2013-14 (Year 5) Arts Demonstration Project Yr. 5 supports two schools (NC and Hall) Final year of MCF funding Reduction of MCF funds should be expected. Funding for arts teachers is supported by SPARK MCF Grant supports teacher collaboration and planning, coaching model, VAPA Coordination, materials, supplies, conferences, professional development Arts Integration training and support provided by Technical Assistance from MCF 2014-15 Arts Demonstration project has ended No MCF funding to support teacher collaboration and planning, coaching, VAPA coordination, materials, supplies SPARK is now supporting three schools (NC, Hall and San Clemente) Arts integration model is now teacher driven and dependent upon teacher implementation Site Arts Teams will oversee arts integration model.

4 Larkspur-Corte Madera School District Model Arts Programs 2012-2015 Neil Cummins Elementary School and San Clemente School Program Staffing and Enrollment Projections 2012-13 Neil Cummins Enrollment ( 802) Staffing: 1.0 FTE K-2 Music/Dance Teacher serving 23 classes per week Staffing: 1.0 FTE 1-4 Visual Art Teacher serving 29 classes per week Staffing: 0.5 FTE 3-4 Music Teacher serving 14 classes per week Staffing: 1.0 FTE K-2 Motor Skills/Dance serving 23 classes per week 2013-14 NC enrollment Approx. 800+ Staffing: 1.0 FTE K-2 Music/Dance Teacher serving 22-24 classes per week Staffing: 1.0 FTE 1-4 Visual Art Teacher serving 29 classes per week Staffing: 0.5 FTE 3-4 Music Teacher serving 14 classes per week Staffing: 1.0 FTE K-2 Motor Skills/Dance serving 23 classes per week 2014-15 NC K-4 enrollment Approx. 450-550 2014-15 San Clemente School K-4 enrollment Approx. 350-400 Staffing: 0.6 FTE K-4 Music Teacher serving approx 16 classes per week. Staffing: 0.6 FTE K-4 Visual Art Teacher serving approx 16 classes per week. UNDETERMINED: Motor Skills (K-2) or Motor Skills/PE (K-4) Staffing: 1.0 FTE K-4 Music/Dance Teacher serving approx 20-24 classes per week. Staffing: 1.0 FTE K-4 Visual Art Teacher serving approx 20-24 classes per week. UNDETERMINED: 1.0 Motor Skills (K-2) or Motor Skills/PE (K-4)
