4. God’s love is not conditional He cannot turn it off and on The Bible doesn’t say God WILL love you if… “But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!” John 15:13

5. It doesn’t merely say, God HAS some love for us… It is not a limited supply… “But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love” Psalms 33:18

7. The Bible Says, “God IS Love” Love is His Essence Not Merely His Gift

8. What does this mean for us? Is God’s love like a pink cotton cloud? No! Nothing so passive. God’s love is the strongest force in the universe!

9. We are going to look at three things God’s love is like A Slave Master Rushing Flood Waters A Perfume that Never Fades

10. Love is Like a Slave Master : Christ’s LOVE made Him buy our salvation with His own blood “No one can have greater love than to give his life for his friends.” John 15:13

11. It wasn’t nails, but love that held Him tightly to the cross. "He saved others; Himself He cannot save." Mat. 27:42 They meant it as a joke, but it was actually the truth. Love wouldn’t allow Him to save Himself.

12. Love is Like Rushing Flood Waters: He Cannot Withhold His Love for Anything “Can anything separate us from Christ's love? No! Can trouble separate us from Christ's love? No! Can problems or persecution separate us from Christ's love? No! If we have no food or clothes, will that separate us from Christ's love? No! Will danger or even death separate us from Christ's love? No!” Romans 8:35

13. Christ’s Love is the Father’s Favorite Perfume “Burn the whole sheep on the altar; it is a burnt offering made by fire to the LORD. Its smell is pleasing to the LORD.” Ex. 29:18 It is a Sweet- Smelling Presence We Can Walk In

14. It was a sweet perfume in the nostrils of God, reminding Him that His own Son would one day be that sacrificial lamb on a Cross.

15. “… He gave Himself for us, a gift on the altar to God which was as a sweet smell to God.” Eph. 5:2 For God, this aroma fills the universe forever!

16. “I have loved you just as My Father has loved Me. Stay in My love.” John 5:19 “We live in him. We walk in him. We are in him.” Act 17:28 Christ's Love is God’s perfume - a presence we can walk in when life stinks!

17. The aroma of His expressed love on the Cross is like a warm covering wrapped around his children.

18. If we walk in the loving presence of the Lord, we will begin to smell like him. “For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” Eph. 5:2

19. To quote C. H. Spurgeon “Have you ever heard the fable of the Persian wanderer? He took up in his hand a piece of scented clay and said to it, ‘Oh, clay, where did you get your perfume ?’ And the clay said, ‘I was once a piece of common clay, but…

20. …they laid me for a time in company with a rose and I drank in its fragrance, and have now become scented clay.’ Believers, we too are nothing but pieces of common clay, but if we lay with the “Rose of Sharon’ we will gain His scent.’”

21. Jesus is called the “Rose of Sharon.” His love and sacrifice are perfume, both to the Father & to us.

22. To the Father and to us, the Cross smells like love! And if we walk in it, know we are loved, love as He loves, and offer up our own lives as a sacrifice to God – We will smell too! With every breath God remembers His Son’s Sacrifice for Humanity. It stays in His Nostrils Forever!

24. What is the Sinner‘s Prayer? This is a prayer we can pray when we are ready to admit we are sinners and need Christ’s forgiveness. It must be prayed with faith in our hearts and a readiness to have a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.

John Wesley’s Testimony “…the preacher was describing the change which God works in the heart through faith in Christ and I felt my heart strangely warmed.” Disciple’s Testimony “They said to each other, ‘Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?’”

A prayer of faith  Pray this prayer if : You want to set an example & show others how it is done You just like to give your heart to Jesus again & again If you never have before You have in the past, but you think it would mean more today You have been walking afar off and you want to come back Faith

28. We Declare Our Faith Publicly Because Jesus Declared His LOVE Publicly “If you stand before others and are willing to say you believe in me, then I will tell my Father in heaven that you belong to me.” Mat 10:32

29. Do you want to meet Jesus as your Savior right now? Do you believe He died to save you from your sins & that He rose from the dead? Do you believe that He is waiting to save you right now? Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner & need your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins. I now turn from sin. Come into my heart I pray.

30. “But some people did accept him. They believed in him, and he gave them the right to become children of God.” John 1:12

32. What did you learn today? What is the meaning of the name-tag? What have you been thinking about God lately? What do you want to tell the world about Jesus? “If you openly say, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved.” Rom. 10:9

33. “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you… …Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you who are half-hearted towards God.” James 4:8 WNT
