2 About ambrosia Established in 1985, The M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, popularly known as Saboo; quickly established itself as one of the largest and foremost engineering colleges in South Mumbai. It is an ‘A’ Grade College (AICTE) and accredited by NBA and ranked amongst the best colleges in India. With a superb infrastructure and the biggest campus amongst engineering colleges across South Mumbai, Saboo is a popular destination for students during the festival time. It is also centrally located at Byculla and easily accessible from all the three railway lines [Mumbai Central(WR), Byculla(CR) & Dock Yard (HLR)] and important bus routes. Purple, our Techno-Cultural Fest was born in 2008 out of the need to bring under one banner, all our various branch-wise technical fests [Automotivation, Green, CompCraft, 360˚and Crescendo (sports fest)] and add a cultural component to it. Events like Go-Karting, Paintball, RoboWars, MudRally, Laser Tag, Rock Show, LAN Gaming, Code Debugging, Seminars, etc. have been major attractions in the past. Other welfare events such as Blood Donation, Charity Drive and Green (an eco-literacy event) have also received great response. Our past success can be attributed to hours of hard work, meticulous planning and execution by the different societies such as SACE, SAE, CSI, IEEE, MESA and CES. With a massive participation of more than students from our college alone, the foot falls have always been overwhelming.

3 The theme Our techno-cultural fest, PURPLE, has been re-incarnated as AMBROSIA, where the excitement never dies. Ambrosia is the drink of superheroes and promises immortality. Their ambrosia has been their achievements, skills, talent and sacrifices. At Ambrosia people get the chance to showcase these every year and forever get etched in our hearts, minds and books. The theme is based on Superheroes . We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can kill them, ban them, mock them and still they return. This year we allot each branch a superhero according to their characteristics. Stronger ,Faster, Higher; a famous Greek catchphrase sums up the aspirations and ambitions of everyone who dares to better the best. At Ambrosia you get the chance to stretch the limits and elevate yourself to those levels and achieve greatness. This year the 3 day extravaganza has over 50 competitions covering various categories like ROBOTICS,TECHNICAL, FINE ARTS, CULTURAL, LITERARY AND SPORTS; with over 150 prizes to be won. There is certainly a technical genius, a creative artist, an enthusiastic athlete, an intellectual writer or an active gamer within you. Unleash your talent and bring it out in the open. Pave your way towards the Immortality, and succeed. Compete with the best talent in the city at Ambrosia.

4 Events Technical Events
A series of contests for the titans to exhibit their skills, craftsmanship, innovation and talent and compete with each other. 5 Events Cultural Events
We have lined a pool of events to bring out the cultural side of our technical geniuses. The whole evening is dedicated for Dramatics, Dance, Singing, Movie making, Photography and ultimately the talent displayed by the participants. The cultural activities and events are carried out through out the day but the real fun begins with the sun bidding adios. Students from Junior Colleges, BMM colleges and many other colleges participate in these events and compete with each other.

6 Day events Saboo’s Got Talent
Everybody has talent. If properly nurtured and harnessed, even a rock can be turned into a diamond. With this ideology in mind, we gather multi-talented personalities and attempt to find Mr & Miss Saboo. Minute To Win It Based on the popular television show, MTWI contains various challenges in which the contestants try to outdo each other in the span of 60 seconds. Various challenges include Booby Trap, Bulb Balance,Gravity Defy, Ka-Broom among others. Balls of Fury Balls of Fury is an epic adrenalin-filled fight for glory between two teams (comprising of 7 superheroes each) as they try to capture the enemies flag and fire the balls of fury till the last team standing. The Amazing Race The entire city is the battle ground as teams race against time defying the odds as they keep solving riddles and completing tasks to finish first. Last year almost 20 teams participated and we witnessed one Amazing Race.

7 Evening events Day 1:- Time: 5pm-7pm
Professional bike stunting which gathers a crowd of bike lovers as well as spectators from across various colleges and localities. Time: 7pm-9pm A performance by well known celebrity to kick start the first night with glamour and music. Day 2:- An award show function resembling the likes of IIFA,Filmfare.This night will promise you 4 hours of fun which involves spoofs, plays, dance performances, fashion show and much more. Day 3:- B-boying ,where pros battle it out with a one on face off for the crown. A dj night with an electrifying ambience by ZOOT entertainment, where we bid good bye to the fest dancing on the various beats.

9 Welfare activities We organise a pool of welfare events.
Blood Donation Drive : An annual event held by MHSSCOE that encourages students, faculty members and the localities to donate blood for those in need. We get over 400 enthusiast blood donors every year. Swachh Saboo Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive) : An endeavour made by the students to help make a cleaner and greener Mumbai. Every year students go to important landmarks like Juhu Beach, Haji Ali and clean them. Charity Drive: Efforts are taken to provide the economically backward with the basic necessities of life and provide education to the children by donating a part of our proceedings to charitable causes. Green Marathon Run : A marathon is conducted by the students to spread the message of preventing Global Warming and attain Sustainable Development.

Media Advertisements: The ‘Main Sponsor’ for “Ambrosia, 2015” will be communicated throughout our media plan. Audio-Visual Announcements and Display: Audio-Visual Announcements and Display spots will be played on Projection screens and a Public Address system during the event. Ad-space: It will be provided on the website and in the magazine, along with updates on the blog. 12 T-Shirt branding: All the T shirts worn by the volunteers or any ‘Ambrosia The Fest’ members will have Main Sponsor’s logo. Mention of name and logo where competitions are carried out Product or Brand centric Event Display in Video: The co-sponsor will get a display in the video which will be displayed all over the city through our outdoor publicity plan. Preference in Advertisement: The main sponsor holds the right to display their banners besides the stage and in the audience sitting area. Certificate Branding: the main sponsor holds the right to place his logo on the certificate which will be felicitated to the event winners as well as participants from 120 colleges. Hoardings in Campus: The main sponsor gets the exclusive right to place his hoardings in the college canteen till the fest.
