2. 1 John 1:8-9-“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our

3. sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

4. I. SELF DECEPTION ABOUT SIN IN OUR LIVES BRINGS STRESS.

5. “deceiving ourselves”

6. Galatians 6:7- “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

7. God desires to be in a close fellowship with His children. He loves us dearly.

8. And He is going to fight anything or anyone in our lives that causes us to drift away-even if it is us!

9. Hebrews 12:5-8:“And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as

10. sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

11. because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." Endure hardship

12. as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not

13. disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.”

14. As long as you ignore it-IT WILL NOT GET BETTER, BUT IT WILL GET WORSE!

15. II. BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF TODAY.

16. Do you want the joy of your fellowship with the Lord back?
