Laryngoscope Transition House wide Transition New Handles and Blades purchased Heine LED light Non-rechargeable (these have batteries) Reusable Once the purchase arrives in house, all blades and handles will be switched out 1:1 Sterile Processing will order all blades and handles moving forward Need to remain standardized

3. Oral Care kits with CHG Oral Care kits will now come with Biotene and CHG CHG is provided every 12hours WE will use up our current stock of oral care kits before transitioning Infection control – Championed this product ** This transition was just approved. Change may occur in 1-2months. In servicing to come!!

4. Suction Tubing WE will be standardizing to Cardinal Suction tubing and canisters Reduce the amount of plastic used within the system.

5. KCI Pumps Process at UH: If you need a pump call hospitality Hospitality will enter the information into the system, and take care if the paperwork To return a pump, simply put in the dirty utility room and hospitality will pick up. *** Contact KCI if a patient needs to have a wound vac when being dismissed. Our wound vacs will not be taken off of our campus 1-800-275-4524

6. KCI Pumps - MOI Process at MOI 1.MOI OR places pump 2.MOI PACU transfers patient to Inpt unit 3.MOI OR calls for an MOI replacement vac to UH hospitality (Tisha’s team at 884-8857) 4.MOI Inpt Unit will call UH Hospitality to notify of discontinuation the wound vac 5.MOI Inpt will wipe down the wound vac 6.MOI Rapid Response will transport wound vac to UH’s distribution 7.UH Hospitality team will clean wound vac & do the quality check step 8.UH Hospitality team will send cleaned wound vac to UH central location *** Contact KCI if a patient needs to have a wound vac when being dismissed. Our wound vacs will not be taken off of our campus
