2 Digital Citizenship With guidance and support from adults, explore 3 different digital productivity tools to produce and publish writing. At least one digital productivity tool must include collaboration with peers. Teacher will demonstrate viewing a digital textbook; illustrate the front cover, back cover, and title page. Using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) communicate with a familiar adult in an engaging interaction. Examples a.) Stranger Danger a.) Word b.) Power Point c.) Publisher (postcard) 3.) Google Books 4.) Skype a parent, grandparent, or administrator and have him/her read a book to the students. KINDERGARTEN

With guidance and support from adults, explore one online resource and 2 different digital productivity tools to produce and publish writing. At least one digital productivity tool must include collaboration with peers to create a presentation or product in a curriculum area. Identify, research, and collect data on an environmental issue as a class. Look up a historical person using electronic media as a class. Students will graphically organize the life cycle of a plant. Using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) communicate with an occupational professional in an engaging interaction. Examples a.) Select four pictures of a tree growing and have students arrange from beginning to end in word. 7.) Identify, research, and collect data on an environmental issue using digital resources and propose a developmentally appropriate solution. Using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) communicate with a classroom in another country in an engaging interaction. Find and evaluate information related to a current or historical person or event using digital resources. Use simulations and graphical organizers to explore and depict patterns of growth such as the life cycles of plants and animals. Examples Under Construction....................... SECOND GRADE

With guidance and support from adults, explore 3 online resource and 2 different digital productivity tools to produce and publish original work. a.) At least 2 digital productivity tools must include collaboration with peers to create a presentation or product in a curriculum area. b.) Students will create an original digital story. Students will gather information from digital sources; take brief notes on sources and sort evidence into provided categories. Create a digital recording of students’ fluency from reading a story or poem. Select and apply digital tools to collect, organize, and analyze data to evaluate theories or test hypotheses as a class. Identify and investigate a global issue using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Demonstrate the ability to navigate in virtual environments such as electronic books, simulation software, and Web sites. Examples Under Construction…………………… THIRD GRADE

6 Digital Citizenship – evaluate websites and learn how to site a web page Interpret information presented visually, orally, or quantitatively on interactive Web pages and explain its relevance. With little guidance and support from adults, explore 3 online resource and 3 different digital productivity tools to produce and publish original work. At least 2 digital productivity tools must include collaboration with peers to create a presentation or product in a curriculum area. Students need to type a minimum of one page in a single sitting. c.) Students will create an original digital story based on an interview with an adult. Students will gather information from digital sources; take notes, paraphrase, and categorize information, and provide a list of sources. Select and apply digital tools to collect, organize, and analyze data to evaluate theories or test hypotheses. Identify and investigate a global issue and generate possible solutions using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Demonstrate the ability to navigate in virtual environments such as electronic books, simulation software, and Web sites.
