17. INDIVIDUAL WORK Look at the diagram and read the information in the boxes. Write the process of preparing sticky rice from the clues.

19. First, rice is washed and put inside a bamboo tube. Then water is poured into the tube as required. Next the mouth of the tube is closed with banana leaves. After that the tubes are heated on a fire. After some time when the rice has boiled sufficiently, it is taken away from the fire and cooled. Sticky rice is now prepared. In order to eat the sticky rice the tubes have to be broken.

20. ASESSMENT How do they eat bamboo shoots? Explain it.

21. HOME WORK Which of the two foods morog polau and khichuri you would like to prepare. Note the ingredients down on the khata. You have to write how to prepare the food in the same manner that I have done for ‘sticky rice’.
