1 1 Water Planning & Stewardship Committee Item #6b Summary Subject: Review of Long-Term Delta Actions & Water Supply Planning Implications Purpose:To open discussions with board members for further direction or recommendations regarding long-term Delta actions.

2 2 Water Planning & Stewardship Committee Item #6b Summary: Recent actions to protect Delta smelt is likely to challenge MWD and other water users with more prolonged curtailments. In addition, two ongoing efforts (Bay Delta Conservation Plan & Governor’s Delta Vision) are developing long-term solutions, with a recommendation targeted for the end of 2007. This Board Report provides more detailed information on potential long-term actions, and water supply planning implications.
