5 Follow the 5 P’s… Prompt Be in your assigned seat (and stay) when class starts. PreparedUse traffic lights every day. If you have headphones or ear buds bring them to class. If possible bring a flash drive or memory stick to class. No food, drink, gum, cell phones, or ipods. Bring your planner to class everyday PoliteNo talking and screens OFF during instruction. Use quiet inside voices during independent work time. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. Be kind! ProductiveFollow directions given without reminders. Turn in all work ON TIME! 7 Failure to the follow 5 P’s If you choose to break our class rules you will be warned about your behavior. After two warnings, and with each new violation you will receive progressive discipline.

8 After two warnings, and with each new violation you may receive any of the following interventions: Time-out or “Action Plan” writing assignment Time-out or “Action Plan” writing assignment Call home to your parent or guardian Call home to your parent or guardian Exclusion from class activities or loss of privileges Exclusion from class activities or loss of privileges Detention Detention Parent conference Parent conference A referral to a counselor or an administrator after any three of the above interventions A referral to a counselor or an administrator after any three of the above interventions  A severe disruption or danger will result in an immediate referral to an administrator.

9 Grading Work hard to get an A… This is a performance based class: You can earn up to 10 points per day…

10 Keys to Success  Follow the 5 P’s to maintain a 10 point day!  Forgetting any required materials results in the loss of one point per item per day.  Off task behavior will result in the loss of one point per incident. “A” students come to class prepared and work hard!

11 Choose to succeed! Do all required work and turn it in on time! Properly name your work so you get credit If you do not receive full credit for an assignment REVISE it and resubmit it for full credit. Check Skyward often Attend Study Club if you need extra help

12 If you are absent: YOU are responsible for finding out what you missed… You will lose 10 points per day You can arrange to do a class presentation to make-up the 10 points lost due to an absence.
