1 Luke 4: 16-21

2 Prophet The word prophet is a Greek word which means ‘one who speaks on behalf of God’. Prophets did not predict the future, instead they ‘passed on’ God’s words or message, generally calling people to live differently and to redress injustice. Many prophets were not successful in that the people they spoke to often ignored their messages. The Old Testament contains 18 books of prophetic writing, beginning with Isaiah and ending with Malachi. What is a Prophet? http://www.thebibledoctor.com/P.php

Isaiah began his life as a prophet after he had a vision of God. God told him to go and speak to people and to tell them that there was only one God, and that all people should put their faith and trust in him. Isaiah is the greatest of all prophets and was responsible for predicting Jesus’ birth to save the Jewish people. Who was The Prophet Isaiah?
