CELLS The smallest living unit Ms Vachon’s Biology Class

We all have them Every living thing is made of cells. Cells are the smallest unit of life (Some living things are single-celled and some are multi-cellular) Do you remember the kingdoms and which are single/which are multi?

There are Two Types of Cells Eukaryotic: cells that contain membrane-bound organelles (like human cells) Prokaryotic: cells that DO NOT contain membrane bound organelles.

What is a membrane-bound organelle? Remember middle school science? They are the parts you learned about: nucleus, chloroplast, mitochondria, etc

Which Kingdoms have Eukaryotic Cells?

Bacterial Cells are PROKARYOTIC They have NO nucleus The DNA in a eubacteria or archeabacteria looks like a mass of spaghetti Silly video Serious Video
